What To Do When You Don't Know What To Do

There are times when I sit down with my art journal, and the blank page can feel like a big wall between me and the creativity I want to let out. Do you ever feel this? Sometimes it's because we just don't have time to create, it's been a while, imposter syndrome creeps up or a host of other reasons.

In my latest YouTube tutorial, "What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do," I’m sharing SIMPLE ways to get unstuck, using easy techniques. This video isn’t about making something perfect; it’s about LETTING GO of any expectations and just allowing yourself to create, even if that means starting small.

In the video, I suggest a few ways to start playing freely. This can look like making random marks, adding bits of color, or layering shapes without overthinking it. These techniques are light and relaxed, perfect for moments when you want to create but feel unsure. I also talk about how mistakes are just part of the process. Like when I rip the paper of my journal when I lift the stamp. Is it ruined?? NO!!!

I also like to add easy elements, like using a few favorite colors or adding simple textures, to complete the page. This keeps the process low-key and approachable. If you’re looking to bring more joy into your art journaling and ease up on expectations, this tutorial might be what you need. Head to the video and let’s explore these simple, gentle ways to get your creativity flowing again.

Don't forget! If you have questions, post them in the comments on the YouTube video! Also, LIKE and Subscribe to get notifications when my new tutorials come out!!!!
